Consign With Us
UPDATE: Please send us a message to see if we’re able to accept your items at this time. We’ll always do our best to make room for our local Lumsden consignors. Priority is lovingly given to those who shop with us too—because secondhand truly works best as a circular economy.
*****************************************************************************************
When you consign with Legacy Consignment, you’re partnering with us to give children’s items a second life—while also supporting our local community. Here’s how it works:
Your Items
-
We accept current-season children’s clothing and footwear that is clean, freshly laundered, and in excellent condition.
-
Items must be free from rips, stains, pet hair, odours, and missing or broken parts.
-
Only complete, safe items are accepted (no recalled items).
-
Any items we’re unable to accept (“No Thank Yous”) will be donated.
Selling Period
-
Accepted items will be listed on www.legacyconsignment.ca for a minimum of 6 weeks.
-
Items may also be promoted on our social media channels to help them sell.
Earnings
-
You’ll receive 50% of the final sale price for each item sold.
-
Payments are sent via e-transfer Quarterly, based on these earnings windows:
-
January–March
-
April–June
-
July–September
-
October–December
-
-
Payouts are sent shortly after each earnings window closes.
After the Sale Period
-
Unsold items are donated, rather than returned.
-
In rare and exceptional cases, items may be returned to the consignor, but this is not the norm.
-
Donated items may be sold at deeply reduced prices, with proceeds supporting local initiatives (currently École Lumsden Elementary School—recipients may change at any time).
-
Items that still don’t sell are given directly to Community Support Workers to help families in need.
Want to Donate Instead?
-
If you’d prefer to donate items outright, with 100% of proceeds going to a local initiative, we’re happy to chat about that option.
By consigning with us, you’re not just earning—you’re helping support families and community programs along the way. 💛
